Crown of Creatures

The crown of creature’s creation is to recreate the image of man in their own image. Biomimetics is an attempt by mankind to make synthetic versions of biochemical processes. Neural networks, AGI, LLMs, computational science, and the like are different ways to make synthetic versions of the brain, or thinking. Then we have Boston Dynamics, and the like. Atlas and the other humanoid robots are synthetic versions of human movement. All these have to same goal of meeting the standard of, and moving beyond the Creator’s creation, to a new creation.

Notice, in each case those creators are borrowing their design and concepts from the Creator Himself, our triune God. Not only that, but they all require energy to function, which ultimately comes from God. Their creations will never reach a state of perfection or glorification, but mankind will try anyways. Why? To make a name for themselves, to attempt another Babel. And why, because man’s heart is bent towards evil; taking the place of God.

Scientists and engineers (and everyone else) need the gospel of Christ and a heart change; that their skills may be properly focused towards a righteous and achievable goal. All glory is due to God, not to creation trying to become God. That deserves no glory at all.
